Ferrari SF90 Stradale

The Ferrari SF90 Stradale represents a watershed moment for Maranello: the first series-production Ferrari with a plug-in hybrid powertrain and all-wheel drive. Named after the Scuderia Ferrari 90th anniversary, the SF90 deploys Formula 1-derived technology in a road car with breathtaking results. The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 769 horsepower on its own, but three electric motors — two on the front axle and one between the engine and gearbox — add a further 217 hp, bringing total system output to 986 hp. The front-axle electric motors give the SF90 Ferrari's first-ever AWD system, providing extraordinary traction and enabling a 2.5-second 0-60 mph time. An 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox replaces the traditional 7-speed unit, while a 7.9 kWh battery allows 25 km of pure electric driving. The SF90 can operate in four modes: eDrive (electric only), Hybrid (default), Performance, and Qualify — the last unleashing the full 986 hp. The bodywork was developed with active aerodynamic elements including a shut-off Gurney flap that deploys at speed. The SF90 Stradale proved that electrification could enhance rather than diminish the Ferrari experience, setting new benchmarks for performance while pointing toward the marque's electric future.

Verify full Ferrari service history — only authorized dealers should service the hybrid system. The 7.9 kWh battery pack is warranty-covered but replacement would be very expensive. Check that all four driving modes function correctly. Assetto Fiorano models command a premium. Carbon-ceramic brakes are standard but expensive to replace.

First plug-in hybrid Ferrari. The front electric axle provides torque vectoring and AWD capability. An open-top Spider variant followed. The Assetto Fiorano package adds weight-saving measures and track-focused calibration. Built alongside the F8 Tributo at Maranello.
