Ferrari 212 Export Barchetta

Built for international competition, the 212 Export featured an enlarged 2.6-liter version of Gioacchino Colombo's legendary V12, producing 170 horsepower. Most examples wore stunning barchetta bodywork by Carrozzeria Touring or Vignale, characterized by minimal weight and maximum performance. The 212 Export achieved remarkable success in period racing, including victories at the Mille Miglia and Carrera Panamericana. Today, these ultra-rare Ferraris command stratospheric prices and represent the purest expression of early Ferrari racing philosophy.

Provenance and racing history are paramount. Verify matching numbers and original coachwork. Most examples have been restored multiple times. Extremely rare and expensive, requiring thorough authentication by Ferrari experts.

Only 27 examples were produced between 1952-1953, with various coachbuilders creating unique bodies. Most competition-focused cars featured lightweight aluminum barchetta bodywork.
