Gordon Murray T.50 Standard
The Gordon Murray T.50 is the magnum opus of Gordon Murray, the legendary Formula One designer responsible for the Brabham BT46B fan car and the McLaren F1. Murray spent three decades contemplating how to improve upon the F1, and the T.50 is his definitive answer. At its heart is a bespoke Cosworth GMA 3.9-liter V12 engine that revs to an extraordinary 12,100 RPM — the highest redline of any road car engine ever produced — while producing 654 horsepower from natural aspiration alone. The engine weighs just 178 kg, making it the lightest V12 in production. The car's most distinctive feature is a 400mm rear-mounted fan that actively manages ground-effect aerodynamics, with six different aero modes selectable by the driver. In Braking Mode, the fan increases downforce by 50%; in Streamline Mode, it fills the wake to reduce drag by 12.5%. The entire car weighs under 986 kg — achieved through obsessive lightweighting including a carbon fiber monocoque, titanium components, and even a bespoke lightweight audio system. The central driving position, directly carried over from the McLaren F1 concept, provides a symmetrical, focused driving experience. Limited to exactly 100 road cars, the T.50 represents perhaps the ultimate expression of analog supercar engineering.
All 100 units are allocated to selected customers. Secondary market prices significantly exceed the original £2.36M list price. Full Gordon Murray Automotive provenance is essential. The bespoke V12 requires specialized service through GMA's own network. The 400mm fan system is unique and maintenance requires factory support.
Limited to exactly 100 road cars (plus 25 T.50s track-only variants). The bespoke Cosworth GMA V12 was purpose-designed for this car. Built at Gordon Murray Automotive's facility near Dunsfold, Surrey.
