Buying Guide
The MX83 Cressida is valued for its RWD layout and inline-6 engine. Stock, unmolested examples are rare as many have been drift cars or engine swap projects. Check for the head bolt issue on the 7M-GE, although it is less severe than on the turbo variant. Rust inspection is important, especially on northern US examples. The Cressida offers a comfortable, well-built sedan experience with genuine drift potential. Manual transmission examples are very rare in the US and command a premium. For JDM enthusiasts, the Mark II GT Twin Turbo with the 1JZ-GTE is the ultimate variant.
