Abarth 2000 Sport Spider SE010

Abarth's ultimate sports racing car, the 2000 Sport Spider combined a highly-tuned 2.0-liter twin-cam engine producing 220 horsepower with an ultra-lightweight tubular chassis weighing just 580kg. The SE010 featured stunning open bodywork optimized for racing, with most examples competing in European and American sports car championships. Carlo Abarth's reputation for extracting maximum power from small displacement engines reached its zenith with this model. Today, surviving examples are highly prized for their racing pedigree and spectacular performance-to-weight ratio.

Provenance and racing history essential. Verify chassis numbers with Abarth registry. Check tubular frame carefully for damage. Original engines are highly desirable. Many have been rebuilt multiple times. Authentication critical given high values.

Approximately 35 examples were built from 1968-1970. Each was essentially hand-built with slight variations. Most were campaigned in period racing and many have extensive competition histories.
