Prince Skyline Sport Coupe

The 1962 Prince Skyline Sport represented Japan's first attempt at creating a true GT car with European styling. Designed by renowned Italian coachbuilder Giovanni Michelotti, it featured elegant lines and a low-slung profile unprecedented in Japanese automotive design. Powered by a 1.9-liter inline-four engine producing 94 hp, it was more about style than raw performance. Its extreme rarity and historical significance as a precursor to the legendary Skyline lineage make it one of the most coveted Japanese classics.

$250,000 – $500,000

Finding one is nearly impossible as most of the 60 produced have been lost or destroyed. If one appears, expect museum-quality pricing and verify authenticity thoroughly given the car's extreme value.

Hand-built by Fuji Precision Industries (which later merged with Nissan). The extremely low production was due to high costs and limited demand for luxury sports cars in 1960s Japan.
