Nissan GT-R Nismo (R35)
The Nissan GT-R Nismo (R35) represents the absolute pinnacle of the R35 GT-R range, a car that takes the already formidable standard GT-R and elevates it to genuine supercar territory. The VR38DETT engine received Nismo's most comprehensive treatment. Hand-assembled Nismo-specific turbochargers with optimized turbine geometry provided faster spool-up and higher peak boost. The engine management was recalibrated to extract 600 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque, a substantial increase over the standard GT-R's output. Each turbocharger was individually flow-matched and balanced before installation.
The GR6 dual-clutch transmission received revised software that adapted shift speed, timing, and characteristics to match the increased engine output.
