Aston Martin Tickford Capri Turbo

When Aston Martin's Tickford coachworks turned its attention to the Ford Capri, the result was an unlikely mashup of blue-collar sports coupe and Savile Row luxury. Using the turbocharged 2.8i engine tuned to 205 horsepower, enhanced with Recaro seats, Aston Martin instruments, bespoke bodykit, and premium leather, Tickford created a Capri that cost nearly as much as a baseline Porsche 944. Despite skepticism, it delivered genuine performance and exclusivity.

Verify authenticity through Tickford chassis number records. Many standard Capris have been modified to mimic Tickford specification. Check turbo system thoroughly. Interior trim pieces are Tickford-specific and difficult to source. Values are rising as rarity becomes appreciated.

Built at Aston Martin's Tickford facility in Newport Pagnell from 1983-1984. Only 100 conversions were completed before the program ended. Each car began as a standard Ford Capri 2.8 Injection before extensive modification.
