Noble M400 Standard

The Noble M400 represented Lee Noble's ultimate expression of the focused, lightweight sports car philosophy. Based on the M12 but taken to extremes, the M400 featured a heavily modified twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Volvo V6 producing 425 hp. In a car weighing just 2,315 pounds, this delivered genuine supercar performance: 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and 185 mph top speed. The steel tube chassis featured double wishbone suspension all around with adjustable dampers. Composite bodywork with aggressive aerodynamics provided substantial downforce. The cabin was pure function, with Alcantara trim, carbon accents, and minimal concessions to comfort. Unlike many exotics, the Volvo-based powertrain offered surprising reliability. Noble focused on driving purity: no ABS, traction control, or electronic aids. Just 84 M400s were built before Noble shifted focus to the M600. Today, the M400 is recognized as one of the great driver's cars, offering supercar performance at a fraction of typical exotic costs. Clean examples command strong prices from enthusiasts who value driving experience over badge prestige.

Verify service history and turbocharger condition. Check for track use history - many were tracked regularly. Inspect chassis for accident damage. Verify engine rebuild history if high mileage. Ensure clutch condition is good. Check for oil leaks and cooling system health. Original specification cars most desirable. Pre-purchase inspection by Noble specialist recommended. Values rising as enthusiasts recognize the M400's significance.
