Fiat Dino 2000 Coupe

The Fiat Dino was born from Ferrari's need to homologate its Dino V6 engine for Formula 2 racing. Fiat produced the road cars using Ferrari's twin-cam V6, with Bertone designing the elegant coupe version. The 2.0-liter variant produced 160 hp and offered an accessible entry into V6 motoring with Italian styling and engineering.

Check for rust in floor pans, sills, rockers, and rear suspension mounting points. The Ferrari V6 requires specialist knowledge and timing belt replacement is critical. Verify matching numbers. Parts availability is reasonable through Fiat and specialist suppliers. Look for cars with documented service history. The 2.4-liter version is more powerful but the 2.0-liter is rarer and more collectible.

The Dino coupe was produced from 1967 to 1972 with 3,670 2.0-liter coupes built from 1967-1969, followed by 2.4-liter versions. Bertone designed and built the coupe bodies while Pininfarina handled the spider variant. The Ferrari-designed engine was built by Fiat. Later cars received the larger 2.4-liter engine with more power.
