Fiat 8V
The Fiat 8V (Otto Vu) was an unexpected sports car from a manufacturer known for small economy vehicles, featuring a compact 70-degree V8 engine with overhead valves. Only 114 examples were built, most receiving custom coachwork from prestigious Italian carrozzerie including Zagato, Ghia, and Vignale. The chassis was strong enough for racing, with 8Vs achieving class victories at events throughout the 1950s. This rare model demonstrated Fiat's engineering prowess and remains highly sought after by collectors for its exclusivity and advanced specification.
