Bizzarrini GT America 5300 Corsa

Giotto Bizzarrini's GT America represented the racing-focused evolution of his 5300 GT Strada design. Built for competition homologation, the GT America featured more aggressive bodywork with improved aerodynamics, lightweight construction, and competition-grade mechanicals. The Chevrolet Corvette 327 V8 produced 365 horsepower, giving the lightweight coupe stunning performance. Each example was essentially hand-built at Bizzarrini's small Livorno facility, with variations in specification based on customer requirements and intended use.

$450,000 – $850,000

Extreme rarity and high values demand thorough authentication through Bizzarrini registers. Verify chassis number and competition history. The Corvette V8 is robust but period racing modifications vary widely between examples. Aluminum bodywork susceptible to damage. Original competition cars command significant premium over road versions. Provenance and documentation critical.

Approximately 18 GT America examples built between 1966-1968. Each car hand-assembled at Bizzarrini's Livorno factory. Bodies constructed in aluminum over tubular steel frame. Several competed at Le Mans and other European endurance races. The GT America designation was used for competition homologation purposes.
