Maserati Sebring
The Sebring was Maserati's answer to the Ferrari 250 GT, combining race-derived engineering with luxurious grand touring. Based on the 3500 GT chassis, it featured elegant two-door coupe bodywork by Vignale. The 3.5-liter twin-cam six produced 235 hp and provided effortless high-speed cruising with Italian style.
Check for rust in floor pans, sills, and around rear suspension mounting points. Verify matching numbers through Maserati Classiche. The twin-cam six requires specialist knowledge and parts can be expensive. Electrical systems are primitive by modern standards. Look for evidence of proper maintenance including timing chain replacement. Original interior trim is difficult to source.
Production ran from 1963 to 1969 with 591 examples built across Series I and II. Series I cars (1963-1965) had round headlights, while Series II (1965-1969) featured quad headlights. Bodies were designed and built by Carrozzeria Vignale in Turin. Later 4.0-liter versions were also offered.
