Bristol Fighter S
The Bristol Fighter represented one of the most exclusive and unusual supercars ever built. Bristol, the former aircraft manufacturer turned ultra-exclusive car builder, created a proper supercar around the Dodge Viper's 8.0-liter V10 engine. With 525 hp driving just 3,285 pounds through a six-speed manual transmission, the Fighter achieved 225 mph and 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. The dramatic gullwing doors, aluminum space frame chassis, and hand-formed aluminum bodywork reflected Bristol's aviation heritage. Each Fighter was built virtually by hand to customer specification in Bristol's small Patchway facility. Production was never officially announced, but approximately 13 examples were completed, making this among the rarest modern supercars. The Fighter continued Bristol's tradition of powerful American V10 engines in sophisticated British chassis, offering extraordinary performance with bespoke luxury. Following Bristol's financial troubles in 2011, the Fighter achieved cult status as the last gasp of one of Britain's most exclusive automobile manufacturers.
Exceptionally rare - examples almost never come to market. Verify genuine Bristol factory build with documentation. Check Viper V10 engine service history. Inspect aluminum chassis and body for damage. Ensure gullwing door mechanisms function properly. Verify electrical systems. Bristol's subsequent financial troubles means parts support is limited. Values are strong and rising due to extreme rarity. Any example should be inspected by specialist familiar with Bristol construction techniques.
