Lancia Aurelia B20 GT

The Aurelia B20 GT introduced the world's first series-production V6 engine, a compact 60-degree unit designed by Francesco De Virgilio that became legendary for its smoothness and power delivery. Advanced engineering included a rear-mounted transaxle for optimal weight distribution, inboard rear brakes, and a De Dion rear suspension system. The pillarless coupe bodywork by Pinin Farina was both aerodynamic and elegant, creating the template for modern GT cars. Racing success at the Mille Miglia, Targa Florio, and other events proved the B20's sporting credentials while maintaining grand touring comfort.
