History
Mazda Cosmo Sport L10B
The Cosmo Sport pioneered rotary engine technology in production vehicles, beating NSU's Ro 80 to market by months. Its sleek, spacecraft-inspired bodywork housed Mazda's revolutionary 10A twin-rotor engine, which delivered sports car performance from a tiny displacement. Only 1,176 units were produced during its five-year run, making it extremely rare today. The Cosmo established Mazda's rotary heritage that would culminate in the RX-7 and RX-8.
