The 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 represented the sweet spot of the muscle car era with its combination of aggressive styling, strong performance, and reasonable price. The L35 396 cubic inch V8 was the base SS engine, producing 325 horsepower and generous torque. The 1967 model featured updated styling with a more aggressive front end and distinctive SS badging. Available as a two-door coupe or convertible, the SS package included heavy-duty suspension, dual exhausts, and sport wheels. The Chevelle SS became one of Chevrolet's most successful performance models and remains highly collectible today.
