Austin-Healey 100 S

Donald Healey created the 100S as a pure competition machine, stripping weight through aluminum bodywork and adding power through high-compression cylinder heads and larger carburetors. The result was a genuine 110+ mph sports racer that competed successfully at Le Mans, Sebring, and Mille Miglia. Each car was essentially hand-built, with individual chassis numbers and unique specifications tailored to customer requirements.

Verify authenticity carefully, as replicas exist. Original 100S models have specific chassis number ranges and aluminum bodywork. Racing history adds significant value. Expect six-figure prices for genuine examples with documented provenance.

Only 55 examples of the 100S were produced between 1954-1956, making it one of the rarest Austin-Healeys. Most were raced extensively, so pristine survivors are exceptionally rare. The factory works team cars featured special Le Mans modifications.
