Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster

The Pagani Zonda Cinque, meaning Five in Italian, was a limited-edition variant restricted to just 10 examples: 5 coupes and 5 roadsters. Introduced in 2009, it represented the most extreme expression of Horacio Pagani's obsessive approach to automotive engineering, combining the most powerful version of the Mercedes-AMG V12 with the lightest and most aerodynamically advanced Zonda body yet produced.

The Cinque's AMG-built 7.3-liter V12 engine was tuned to produce 678 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated Zonda at the time of its introduction. The engine, based on the Mercedes-Benz M120, was hand-assembled at AMG's facility in Affalterbach, Germany, with each unit bearing the signature of the engineer who built it.

The body was constructed from Pagani's proprietary carbon-titanium composite, a material that combined the lightweight properties of carbon fiber with the impact resistance of titanium weave. This advanced material allowed the Cinque to achieve a dry weight of approximately 1,210 kilograms for the roadster, extraordinary for a car with a 7.3-liter V12 engine. Extensive aerodynamic elements, including a large rear wing, front splitter, and diffuser, generated significant downforce without resorting to active aerodynamic devices.

The Cima six-speed sequential gearbox, developed specifically for Pagani, provided rapid gear changes through steering-wheel-mounted paddles. The suspension featured Ohlins adjustable dampers, and Brembo supplied the carbon-ceramic brake system. Every component was either custom-made or specifically adapted for the application, reflecting Pagani's commitment to bespoke engineering.

The Roadster variant added the visceral pleasure of open-air exposure to the Cinque's already intense driving experience. With the 7.3-liter V12 screaming at full throttle behind the occupants' heads and the wind rushing past, the Cinque Roadster provided a sensory overload that few cars in history have matched.

With only 5 roadsters produced, the Cinque Roadster is among the rarest and most valuable modern hypercars. Each example was delivered to a pre-selected Pagani client and customized to their individual specifications, making every car unique.

$5,000,000 – $10,000,000

With only 5 roadsters in existence, every car is individually significant. Authentication through Pagani essential. Complete service documentation required. Carbon-titanium body requires Pagani-authorized inspection and repair. AMG V12 servicing is specialized. Cima gearbox requires Pagani-trained technicians. Storage conditions critical for preservation.

Exactly 10 Cinque units: 5 coupes and 5 roadsters. Each hand-built at Pagani's small factory near Modena. Carbon-titanium body construction. AMG-built 7.3L V12 hand-assembled with engineer's signature. Cima sequential gearbox specific to Pagani. Each car individually customized for the buyer. Cinque means Five in Italian.
