Audi TT 3.2 V6 Quattro

The Audi TT is one of the most successful concept-to-production translations in automotive history. Designed by Freeman Thomas and Peter Schreyer, the TT debuted as a concept at the 1995 Frankfurt Motor Show and entered production with remarkably few changes. Its circular design language, aluminum fuel filler cap, baseball-stitched leather, and sculptural body made it a design icon. The 3.2 V6 Quattro was the ultimate first-gen TT, combining the smooth-revving VR6 engine with permanent all-wheel drive and a slick 6-speed manual. The first-gen TT survived an early controversy about high-speed stability (resolved with a rear spoiler and ESP) to become one of the most recognizable designs of the late 1990s.

$10,000 – $25,000

3.2 V6 Quattro with 6-speed manual is the most desirable spec. The 1.8T 225hp Quattro is the sweet spot for value. Avoid early pre-spoiler cars unless they've been retrofitted. Check for dashboard crack — it's a common issue. Coupe is more collectible than roadster. These are appreciating as future classics.

The TT launched in 1998, initially with 1.8T engines only. The 3.2 V6 arrived in 2003. A rear spoiler was added after stability concerns. Both coupe and roadster body styles were offered. Over 178,000 first-gen TTs were built.
