Nissan Skyline 2000 RS Turbo DR30

The 1983 Nissan Skyline 2000 RS Turbo DR30 represented a pivotal moment in Skyline history, introducing forced induction to the platform. Powered by the advanced FJ20ET turbocharged inline-six producing 190 hp, it delivered genuine performance in a sharply-styled coupe body. Known as the 'Iron Mask' due to its distinctive grille design, the DR30 dominated Group A racing in Japan. Though it lacked the GT-R badge, the RS Turbo maintained the Skyline's sporting credibility during the 1980s.

$25,000 – $55,000

DR30s are increasingly collectible, especially RS Turbo variants. Check for rust in the rear quarters and sills. The FJ20ET engine is robust but turbos and ECUs can be problematic. Many were modified so finding stock examples is challenging.

The DR30 filled the gap between the KPGC110 GT-R and the arrival of the R32 GT-R in 1989. It was successful in touring car racing and kept the Skyline name alive during a critical period.
