Holden Torana LJ GTR XU-1
Building on the LC's success, the LJ Torana GTR XU-1 featured improved aerodynamics including a distinctive rear spoiler and revised front-end styling. The same potent 202 inline-six received further refinements, while suspension upgrades improved handling characteristics. Peter Brock's dominance in the LJ XU-1 at Bathurst and other touring car events cemented its legendary status. Production examples are now among the most sought-after Australian classics, with original XU-1s commanding significant prices at auction.
