Ford Falcon XY GT-HO Phase III
The 1971 Ford Falcon XY GT-HO Phase III represents the pinnacle of Australian muscle car development, featuring a race-developed 351 cubic inch Cleveland V8 producing an underrated 380 horsepower. Built to dominate touring car racing, only 300 were produced to meet homologation requirements. With a top speed exceeding 140 mph, it was claimed to be the world's fastest four-door sedan when new. Today, the Phase III is the most valuable Australian-built car, with pristine examples selling for over $1 million AUD at auction.
