Triumph TR6

The Triumph TR6 featured controversial but distinctive squared-off Karmann styling wrapped around proven TR5 mechanicals including the fuel-injected 2.5-liter straight-six engine. US versions received carburetors reducing power to 104bhp, but UK models retained Lucas fuel injection producing 150bhp and impressive torque for effortless performance. As the final iteration of the traditional body-on-frame TR sports car, the TR6 represented peak evolution of Triumph's classic roadster formula before the wedge-shaped TR7 arrived.
