Toyota Corona Mark II
The Corona Mark II filled the gap between the Corona and Crown in Toyota's lineup. Its larger dimensions and more powerful engines appealed to buyers wanting executive features without Crown-level pricing. The model pioneered several features for Toyota including optional automatic transmission and power steering. This first generation established the Mark II nameplate that would continue for decades, eventually evolving into separate Chaser and Cresta variants.
