Marcos 1600 GT
The Marcos 1600 GT featured one of the most distinctive designs in British motoring, with Dennis Adams's razor-edge styling wrapped around an innovative marine plywood chassis. Powered by Ford's 1.6-liter Cortina GT engine, the ultra-lightweight construction delivered impressive performance with 0-60mph in under 9 seconds despite modest power. The unique chassis construction provided exceptional rigidity while keeping weight to just 760kg, creating a genuine giant-killer on road and track that competed successfully in its class.
