History
Borgward Hansa 1500
The Borgward Hansa 1500 was one of the first new car designs to emerge from post-war Germany. Its integrated body design without separate fenders was revolutionary for 1949 and influenced German styling for years. The reliable four-cylinder engine and robust construction made it popular with families during the Wirtschaftswunder economic miracle. Borgward's innovative approach positioned them as a serious middle-market manufacturer before the company's unfortunate collapse in 1961.
