Willys Jeepster

Willys-Overland created the Jeepster to capitalize on post-war demand for recreational vehicles that weren't quite as rugged as military Jeeps. The phaeton-style body featured removable side curtains and optional folding top, combining open-air motoring with practical transportation. Though underpowered by its economy four-cylinder engine, the Jeepster's cheerful styling and Jeep heritage gave it enduring appeal among collectors.

$18,000 – $42,000

Check for rust in body panels and frame. Verify side curtains and top hardware present. Engine parts shared with Willys station wagons.

First generation used rear-wheel drive only, unlike later 4WD models. Brooks Stevens designed distinctive phaeton styling. Production ended in 1950 due to slow sales.
