Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Off-road Supercar

The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, introduced in 2023, was one of the most audacious production cars in recent memory: a genuine supercar designed to go off-road. Taking its name from the Italian word for dirt road, the Sterrato combined the Huracan's proven V10 powertrain with raised suspension, underbody protection, and rally-inspired bodywork to create a vehicle that could tackle gravel roads, farm tracks, and desert terrain with the same aplomb as tarmac.

The concept was not entirely unprecedented. Lamborghini had a historical connection to agricultural equipment, and the LM002 had proven that Sant'Agata could build formidable off-road vehicles. But the Sterrato was different: it was fundamentally a Huracan that had been given the ability to venture beyond paved roads, rather than a dedicated off-road vehicle.

The modifications were extensive. Ride height was raised by 44mm compared to the standard Huracan EVO, with revised spring and damper rates to cope with uneven surfaces. The all-wheel-drive system received a recalibrated torque distribution algorithm with a new Rally driving mode. Underbody protection panels shielded the mechanical components from rocks and debris, while reinforced sills and wheel arch extensions protected the bodywork.

The 5.2-liter V10 engine was detuned slightly to 610 horsepower (from the EVO's 640hp) to provide a more manageable power delivery on loose surfaces. The seven-speed dual-clutch transmission received revised shift programming for off-road use. A roof-mounted air intake improved approach angle and reduced dust ingestion.

Visually, the Sterrato was unmistakable. Wider wheel arches, roof-mounted LED light bar, protective body cladding, and the elevated stance gave it a purposeful, rally-car appearance that was entirely different from any other supercar. All-terrain Bridgestone tires wrapped around specific 19-inch wheels completed the transformation.

Production was limited to 1,499 units, and all were allocated before the car's official launch, such was the demand for this unique proposition. The Sterrato represents the final chapter of the Huracan story, a fitting sendoff for the naturally aspirated V10 engine and a celebration of Lamborghini's willingness to defy convention.

As a limited production model, allocation was through Lamborghini dealers. Verify production number and complete specification. Check underbody for signs of actual off-road use (stone damage, scratches). Carbon-ceramic brakes standard. All-terrain tires are specific to the model. Warranty status should be verified.

Limited to 1,499 units, all allocated before the official launch. Production began in early 2023. The Sterrato was the final new variant of the Huracan before the model's discontinuation. Raised 44mm over standard Huracan. Bridgestone all-terrain tires standard. Roof-mounted air intake and LED light bar. Underbody protection panels fitted as standard.
