Bugatti Centodieci EB110 Tribute
The Bugatti Centodieci, whose name means '110' in Italian, is one of the most exclusive and expensive automobiles ever created. Unveiled at the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, this extraordinary machine pays homage to the Bugatti EB110, the revolutionary supercar that marked the brand's revival in the early 1990s. Limited to just 10 units at a price of approximately 8 million euros each before options, the Centodieci instantly became one of the most desirable collector cars in the world.
While based on the Chiron platform, the Centodieci features entirely bespoke bodywork designed to evoke the spirit of the EB110 while maintaining a thoroughly modern presence. The most striking design element is the five circular air intakes on each side of the car, directly referencing the EB110's distinctive cooling apertures. The flat, wedge-shaped front end, the sharp character lines, and the reduced horseshoe grille all contribute to a silhouette that is unmistakably inspired by its predecessor while being entirely contemporary.
Beneath the unique bodywork lies Bugatti's quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine, here tuned to produce 1,600 horsepower, representing a 100-horsepower increase over the standard Chiron. This was achieved through optimized turbocharger mapping, improved intercooling, and revised engine management software. The additional power, combined with a weight reduction of approximately 20 kilograms compared to the Chiron, gives the Centodieci a power-to-weight ratio that surpasses every other Bugatti production car.
The aerodynamic package was developed specifically for the Centodieci, with the flat front end and redesigned rear incorporating an active wing system that provides optimal downforce across the car's performance envelope. The small, horseshoe-shaped front grille is flanked by narrow LED headlights that give the car an almost predatory appearance.
Inside, each of the 10 Centodieci is unique, with owners working directly with Bugatti's design team to specify every detail. Common themes include extensive use of exposed carbon fiber, Alcantara trim, and bespoke color-matched elements that echo the exterior specification.
All 10 examples were spoken for immediately upon announcement, with deliveries beginning in 2022. Cristiano Ronaldo was reported to be among the buyers. The Centodieci represents the pinnacle of Bugatti's coachbuilding program and demonstrates the marque's ability to create truly one-of-a-kind automobiles on their already extraordinary platform.
With only 10 examples built, acquisition opportunities are essentially nonexistent on the open market. Any car that does surface would require authentication through Bugatti's records. Prospective buyers should work with established hypercar brokerages and expect to pay significant premiums over the original $9 million asking price.
Limited to exactly 10 units. Unveiled at Pebble Beach 2019. Each car required extensive development and hand finishing. Deliveries began in 2022 after multiple pandemic-related delays. Based on the Chiron platform but with completely bespoke carbon fiber bodywork.
