Lamborghini Diablo VT
Introduced in 1993, the Diablo VT marked a significant evolution of Lamborghini's flagship by adding a sophisticated viscous-coupling all-wheel-drive system. The VT distributed power 25/75 front/rear under normal conditions, improving traction and handling while maintaining the Diablo's legendary performance. The 5.7-liter V12 produced 492 horsepower, propelling the VT to over 200 mph. Marcello Gandini's dramatic wedge design remained, enhanced with improved aerodynamics and wider rear fenders to accommodate the AWD system.
Check for proper AWD system operation. Service history is critical, especially timing belt and clutch replacements. Inspect for crash damage as repairs are expensive. Low-mileage examples command premium. Pre-purchase inspection by Lamborghini specialist essential.
520 VT coupes were produced from 1993-1998. The VT was available alongside the rear-wheel-drive standard Diablo. Later versions featured improved interior quality and minor exterior updates.
