Lamborghini Jalpa P350
Lamborghini's entry-level offering for the 1980s, the Jalpa featured a 3.5-liter V8 producing 255 horsepower in classic Bertone Targa bodywork. Positioned below the Countach, the Jalpa offered genuine Lamborghini performance and style at a more accessible price point. The removable roof panel allowed open-air motoring while the mid-mounted V8 delivered thrilling performance. Despite its relative affordability, the Jalpa remained exclusive with just 410 examples built over seven years. Today it represents an accessible entry point into classic Lamborghini ownership.
Service history essential. Check for deferred maintenance on complex Weber carburetors. Inspect for rust in chassis. Verify clutch condition. Parts availability improving but still challenging. Pre-purchase inspection by Lamborghini specialist recommended.
410 examples were produced from 1981-1988. Early cars featured carburetion, later examples received fuel injection. The Jalpa replaced the Silhouette and Urraco in Lamborghini's lineup.
