Skoda 105/120
Building on the 100 series, the Skoda 105 and 120 models brought modernized styling and improved quality to the proven rear-engine platform. The range offered various trim levels with the 105 featuring 1.0-liter and 120 the 1.2-liter engine options. Simple mechanicals ensured easy maintenance while the rear-engine layout provided excellent traction in winter conditions. These models became ubiquitous across Eastern Europe and were successfully exported to Western markets where their value proposition attracted budget-conscious buyers, cementing Skoda's reputation before the Volkswagen takeover.
