Gilbern Invader Mk III
The Gilbern Invader Mk III was produced by Wales's only car manufacturer, combining a fiberglass body with Ford Zodiac mechanical components including the 3.0-liter Essex V6 engine. Built in tiny numbers at Gilbern's factory in Pontypridd, each car was essentially hand-assembled with considerable scope for customer customization. The Invader offered impressive performance with 120mph capability and distinctive styling that stood apart from mainstream British sports cars, though only around 600 examples of all Invader variants were ever built.
