Mitsubishi Colt 1000F
The Colt 1000F marked Mitsubishi's transition to conventional front-engine layouts after experimenting with rear-mounted powertrains. Its Saturn engine would become the foundation for Mitsubishi's future small-car lineup. Simple, reliable engineering and economical operation made it popular for everyday transportation. The fastback styling gave it a sportier appearance than typical economy sedans of the era, establishing the Colt as a well-rounded compact car.
