Hongqi CA72

The Hongqi (Red Flag) CA72 was China's first domestically designed luxury automobile, created exclusively for government officials and state use. Built by First Automotive Works in Changchun, it featured distinctive Chinese styling elements including traditional lattice grille patterns. Each car was essentially hand-built with meticulous attention to detail and luxury appointments. Only 202 examples were produced, making them extremely rare symbols of early Chinese automotive ambition and Communist Party prestige.
