History
DeSoto Adventurer
The DeSoto Adventurer joined Chrysler's letter-series cars as a performance-luxury alternative for buyers seeking something different. Its Hemi FirePower V8 provided exceptional power, while distinctive gold anodized aluminum trim panels set it apart visually. Two-tone paint schemes and aggressive styling cues emphasized its sporting nature. With only 996 produced in the inaugural year, the Adventurer represented DeSoto's attempt to compete in the emerging high-performance luxury segment.
