History
Zastava 750
Built under license from Fiat, the Zastava 750 brought affordable motoring to Yugoslavia for three decades. The rear-engine layout and tiny 767cc four-cylinder provided adequate performance for city driving while achieving excellent fuel economy. Despite its modest 26hp output, the lightweight construction allowed respectable acceleration. The 750 became a cultural icon in Yugoslavia, with millions produced and exported throughout Eastern Europe, making it one of the most successful automotive ventures in the region.
