History
Goliath GP 700 E
Introduced in 1955 by the Borgward Group's Goliath brand, the GP 700 E offered a sophisticated package in the economy car market. The car featured a 688cc two-cylinder two-stroke engine driving the front wheels, with independent suspension on all four corners providing excellent handling. Its modern three-box styling and spacious interior made it attractive to cost-conscious buyers seeking refinement. Production ended in 1957 when the Goliath brand was absorbed into the Borgward organization, with the model evolving into the Hansa 1100.
