Goliath GP700 Sport

The Goliath GP700 Sport was a remarkably modern design for the early 1950s, featuring front-wheel drive when most cars were rear-driven. Built by the Borgward Group subsidiary, it used an efficient two-stroke twin-cylinder engine that delivered sprightly performance thanks to its low weight. The aerodynamic coupe body was styled by Karl Deutsch and could achieve speeds over 110 km/h. These little cars were popular in German touring car races of the era, punching well above their weight class.
