Glas Goggomobil

Hans Glas GmbH introduced the Goggomobil in 1955 to meet demand for ultra-economical transportation during Germany's economic recovery. The diminutive car featured a 247cc two-stroke twin-cylinder engine mounted in the rear, producing just 13 hp but delivering exceptional fuel economy. Despite its basic specification, the Goggomobil offered practical four-seat accommodation in a package measuring just 2.87 meters long. Over 280,000 units were produced across various body styles, making it one of the most successful microcars of its era before production ceased in 1969.
