IFA F9

The IFA F9 was developed from DKW's pre-war designs and built in the Zwickau factory after WWII. It featured innovative front-wheel drive and a wood-framed body covered in artificial leather or steel. The three-cylinder two-stroke engine provided adequate performance with excellent fuel economy. This model formed the basis for the later Wartburg line and represented important early East German automotive production.
