EMW 340-2
After WWII, the former BMW plant in Eisenach fell behind the Iron Curtain and became EMW (Eisenacher Motorenwerk). The 340-2 was essentially a BMW 326 built in East Germany with minor modifications. It maintained the quality and engineering of its BMW heritage despite operating under Communist control. Production ended when West Germany forced the factory to stop using BMW branding and designs.
