Volvo PV444
The PV444 was revolutionary for Volvo, introducing monocoque construction and modern styling after World War II. Its rounded fastback profile drew inspiration from American cars while remaining distinctly Swedish in character. Robust engineering and competitive pricing made it hugely successful in export markets. This model established Volvo internationally and funded the company's growth through the 1950s.
