Zenvo Aurora Agil

The Zenvo Aurora, unveiled at Monterey Car Week in August 2023, represents a quantum leap for the Danish hypercar manufacturer. Where the ST1 was a brute-force muscle car and the TSR-S a more refined supercar, the Aurora is a technologically advanced hypercar that competes directly with the Bugatti Tourbillon, Gordon Murray T.50, and Mercedes-AMG One.

The Aurora's centerpiece is an extraordinary bespoke 6.6-liter V12 engine with a flat-plane crankshaft — a configuration previously unseen in a V12 production car. Four turbochargers pressurize the engine, two per bank, producing 1,250 horsepower from the combustion engine alone. An electric motor mounted within the Xtrac 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox adds an additional 600 horsepower for a combined system output of 1,850 horsepower. The engine revs to 10,000 rpm, an extraordinary feat for a turbocharged V12.

Two variants are offered: the Agil (Danish for agile), focused on road and circuit performance, and the Tur (Danish for tour), oriented toward grand touring comfort. Both share the same powertrain but differ in aerodynamic configuration, suspension tuning, and interior specification. The Agil features active aerodynamics generating significant downforce, while the Tur prioritizes top speed and long-distance comfort.

The chassis is a carbon fiber monocoque with active aerodynamics and active suspension. The pushrod-actuated double-wishbone suspension at all four corners uses electronically controlled dampers that can adjust stiffness thousands of times per second. An advanced traction control system manages the 1,850 horsepower through the rear wheels alone — yes, the Aurora is rear-wheel drive, a choice Zenvo made to preserve driving purity.

Limited to just 50 units per variant (100 total), the Aurora is priced at approximately $2.8 million. The production rate is planned at approximately 5 cars per year, meaning the full production run will take two decades to complete. Each car is hand-built at Zenvo's expanded facility in Praesto.

The Aurora represents the ultimate statement from a company that began in a small Danish workshop. It demonstrates that with sufficient ambition and engineering talent, a hypercar manufacturer can emerge from the most unexpected corners of the world.

Allocation-only — production slots are limited and most early positions are claimed. Verify allocation through Zenvo directly. Given the car is newly in production, long-term reliability data does not exist. The flat-plane V12 is a completely novel engine with no production track record. Carbon ceramic brake replacement will be extremely expensive. Insurance costs will be substantial. Consider the 20-year production timeline — later cars may differ from earlier ones.

Limited to 50 Agil and 50 Tur variants (100 total). The flat-plane crank V12 is designed and built entirely in-house at Zenvo. Xtrac supplies the 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Carbon fiber monocoque chassis. Production rate approximately 5 cars per year. Full production run expected to take approximately 20 years. Unveiled at Monterey Car Week 2023.
