TOGG T10X Long Range RWD
The TOGG T10X is one of the most culturally significant automobile launches of the 2020s. Turkey's first mass-produced domestic automobile, the T10X fulfills a national aspiration that dates back over six decades to the Devrim project of 1961. Backed by a consortium of Turkey's largest industrial companies and supported by the government, TOGG (Turkey's Automobile Joint Venture Group) has invested billions of dollars to create a competitive electric vehicle that represents Turkish engineering and design on the world stage.
The T10X is a compact electric SUV powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 200 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The 88.5 kWh battery pack provides a WLTP range of approximately 500 kilometers, competitive with established European rivals. The rear-wheel-drive layout was chosen for its driving dynamics advantages, and TOGG also offers a dual-motor AWD variant with 400 horsepower.
The design was developed by Pininfarina, the legendary Italian design house, in collaboration with TOGG's own design team. The result is a distinctive, modern SUV with a strong visual identity that avoids copying existing designs. The front end features a full-width LED light bar and TOGG's distinctive 'Anatolian Diamond' design motif, while the clean side profile and sculpted rear create a cohesive, premium appearance.
The T10X is built at a purpose-built factory in Gemlik, near Bursa, Turkey's historical automotive manufacturing hub. The factory uses advanced manufacturing technologies including extensive robotics and Industry 4.0 principles. TOGG has invested heavily in vertical integration, including battery cell production through a partnership with Farasis Energy.
Inside, the T10X features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen, and TOGG's proprietary 'Trumore' connected vehicle operating system. The technology package includes Level 2+ driver assistance, over-the-air update capability, and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) connectivity.
The T10X's significance extends far beyond its specifications. For Turkey, a country of 85 million people with a large and growing automotive industry but no indigenous brand, the TOGG represents industrial independence and national pride. The project has been compared to South Korea's Hyundai program of the 1970s, which transformed that country into a major automotive power.
Whether TOGG can replicate Hyundai's success remains to be seen, but the T10X is a credible first product that demonstrates Turkey's ability to compete in the electric vehicle era. It is the beginning of a planned five-model range that will include sedans and a minivan.
Currently available only in Turkey. Check battery health through TOGG diagnostics. Software updates are delivered OTA. The car is new to market so long-term reliability data is not yet available. TOGG's service network is rapidly expanding within Turkey. Export plans for European markets are under development.
The T10X is produced at TOGG's purpose-built factory in Gemlik, Bursa province. The factory has a planned annual capacity of 175,000 vehicles. Production began in March 2023.
