History
Vector W8
Gerald Wiegert's Vector W8 employed aerospace materials including carbon fiber and Kevlar in its semi-monocoque chassis construction. The twin-turbocharged Chevrolet V8 produced extraordinary power, making it one of the fastest production cars of its era. Fighter jet-inspired cockpit featured extensive digital instrumentation and fighter-style controls. Only 17 production W8s were completed due to astronomical pricing and limited production capacity, each essentially hand-built to customer specifications.
