Jaguar XJ-S TWR 6.0

Tom Walkinshaw Racing, fresh from Le Mans and touring car victories with Jaguar, created the ultimate road-going XJ-S. The TWR conversion enlarged Jaguar's silky V12 to 6.0 liters and added performance camshafts, revised fueling, and uprated exhaust. Visually distinguished by subtle body kit, TWR badging, and unique wheels, the car retained the XJ-S's grand touring character while adding genuine sports car performance. Each conversion was performed to exacting standards, with extensive dyno testing and quality control. The TWR XJ-S represented the pinnacle of what could be achieved with Jaguar's luxury GT platform.

Verify TWR authenticity with chassis and engine numbers. Full TWR documentation and build records essential. Check V12 engine for overheating history and cooling system condition. Automatic transmission generally reliable. Look for service history demonstrating proper specialist maintenance. Body kits should be intact and undamaged. Interior leather quality important. Budget significantly for maintenance.

326 TWR XJ-S 6.0 models were converted between 1988 and 1993. Each car started as a standard XJ-S and was extensively modified by TWR. The 6.0-liter engine was hand-built with uprated internals. TWR also offered a Sport variant with further performance enhancements.
