ARO 240
ARO developed the 240 series as a rugged utility vehicle inspired by American Jeeps but engineered for harsh conditions. Featuring simple ladder-frame construction, solid axles, and reliable mechanicals, it proved extremely capable off-road. The 240 was exported to numerous countries and saw military service across multiple continents. Romanian engineers prioritized durability and repairability over sophistication, creating a vehicle that could operate in remote areas with minimal support infrastructure.
