Chrysler Valiant Charger R/T E38
The E38 option package provided serious performance enthusiasts with a more attainable alternative to the ultra-rare E49, featuring the 265 Hemi six with triple two-barrel carburetors producing 280 horsepower. With its lightweight coupe body and potent engine, the E38 could compete effectively with V8 muscle cars while offering better fuel economy and handling. The distinctive Charger styling with its long hood and short deck proportions gave it aggressive visual presence. Production numbers were higher than the E49, making the E38 a more accessible entry point into Charger ownership while still delivering genuine muscle car performance.
